Below table provides an overview of the components for a PM2.5 low-cost sensor system with Sensirion SPS30 sensor, as used by me in Ethiopia (link to publication on the sensor system). The prices are based on experience with buying the components in The Netherlands (such as in March 2024). Based on the prices in the table, a current estimation of the total price of a sensor system is:
- 55.36 euro for the most basic system (PM, data storage, clock);
- 57.98 euro for a system including relative humidity and temperature sensor (BME280);
- 82.06 euro for a system including LoRa data transfer capacities (dragino LoRa shield).
