Measurement instruments

Below an overview is given of the measurement instruments I work with.

The Sensirion SPS30 provides continuous measurements of particulate matter (PM). This sensor, produced by Sensirion, is part of a locally assembled PM sensor system. For a publication on this sensor system, click here. For an overview of the components of this system with prices, go to this page.

The IQAir Air Visual Pro provides continuous measurements of Particulate Matter (PM), CO2, Temperature and Humidity. The instrument is produced by IQAir.

UCB PATS+ provides continuous measurements of PM and (optionally) CO. Berkeley Air designed this instrument especially for high concentrations associated with indoor air quality. Check this link for more specifications of the instrument.

UPAS is a PM2.5 gravimetric instrument. This instrument, developed by Access Sensors Technologies (AST), can be worn by a subject during daily activities, or set up on a stationary location. It will be used to calibrate the PM measurements of the other instruments. For more specifications, see the website of AST.

The Mettler Toledo AE240 is an analytical balance. This analytical balance is needed to measure the filters of the above described UPAS.
