Under the name ArbaAir, I write about air quality and low-cost research and education in and around Arba Minch, Ethiopia.

Arba Minch is a beautiful town in Southern Ethiopia. The soil is fertile, fruits are abundantly available and delicious coffee and meals are mostly cooked on wood, charcoal and dried animal dung. Moreover, Arba Minch is a city in development. The roads have been constructed, and traffic is increasing. In the sometimes tumultuous Ethiopia, Arba Minch is a haven of peace. This makes Arba Minch University the perfect place for air quality research and education.

Out of Arba Minch University, I work on local and low-cost solutions through low-cost sensor system development, student science (research with students as part of their course) and data processing trainings.
